The Verpeilhütte is located at 2,016 m in a charming High valley over Feichten. The Verpeilhütte is also picturesquely situated on the Schönbödele, framed by the giants of the Kaunergrat. The hike up to the Verpeilhütte begins in Feichten (Mühlbach) along the farm road to the uncultivated Verpeilalm. From there a path leads to the Verpeilhütte on both sides of the Verpeilbach. The Gepatschferner nature trail begins in the Fernergries area and leads along the Riffler Bach (Faggenbach ) to the beginning of the glacier tongue. The Seeles lakes are seen from the Kaunertaler Gletscherstraße reachable in half an hour. From the clear lakes you have an excellent view of the Weißseespitze. You can descend to the Gepatsch Alm or the same way back.
